USILD Alumni Association

Mission Statement

The United States Institute of Leadership and Diplomacy Alumni Association provides a lifelong association between USILD and its alumni by supporting the mission, students, faculty, and programs of the USILD. The primary charge of the Alumni Association is to foster, maintain, and enhance the alumni connection to the USILD by providing activities, services, and programs for regional chapters, graduating classes, and professional and cultural affiliate groups. Upon graduation, alumni begin a lifelong relationship with the USILD. Many participate as mentors, internship sponsors, and career advisers in programs designed to assist students while they are still in school.

The USILD Alumni Association is expected to be an independently incorporated under 501(c)(3) organization with a international board of directors elected by the membership who operate under a set of bylaws. Under the auspices of the UAA, our chapters and affiliates select their own leaders and organize cultural and social events. Everyone involved works on a voluntary basis. Check out the Alumni Calendar.

There are an expectation of several  USILD alumni chapters across the country and international. Most chapters convene from two to four times a year for a variety of events. Gatherings often involve informal luncheons and dinners, often with guest speakers, at such venues as theaters, museums, and other cultural institutions.
