What You Will Study

Certificate (Level -I)

Certificate of Achievement

The level-I Certificate provides you with key tools and techniques to become more effective leaders and managers who get things done. It focuses on building your understanding of the context in which leaders operate. You will be empowered with leadership fundamentals and be trained on how to take charge, lead a team, unleash potential, and network. The second part of the level I program takes a process approach to managerial work and teaches managers how to artfully shape decision-making, implementation, learning and improvement, and change processes within their organizations. You will analyze group dynamics and develop best practices for managing high performing teams, as well as influencing performance on an individual, group or cross- team level, to meet organizational challenges.

 

Upon completion of level-I program you will have developed your awareness of your own personal leadership approach. Through self-reflection and leader-to-leader learning, you will have gained practical actions to evolve and sharpen your leadership style in your own organization.

Certificate (Level -II)

Certificate of Specialization

Level-II Certificate is a program of specialization that focuses on strategic mindsets of a leader. Having a mastery of the leadership fundamentals you will be trained on how to get the mindsets of a leader driven with a concern of a long-term success of the organization as a whole, and a leader who deliver organizational success by defining and enacting strategic goals. It therefore considers both the strategy of individual business units (competitive strategy) and the nature of strategy for the multi-business firm (corporate strategy). Program focuses on new approaches in strategy work, such as open strategy, narrative strategy- making and living strategy and the mastery of the management.  Program cover the following:

  • Goals and strategies

  • Managing the multi-business enterprise

  • New ways of engaging people in strategy processes

Upon completion of level-II program you will have advanced your ability to identify and analyze key issues when making strategic decisions. You will also be equipped with the skills to organize and lead strategy work. After successfully complying with the requirements of the level-II certificate, a Certificate of Specialization will be awarded to you.

Certificate (Level -III)

Credential of Readiness Level-I

 

Building upon the previous two certificate programs, this level III Executive Diploma or Credential of Readiness for Senior Executives leadership will expose you to the five Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and introduces research- based solutions for the work of strategic leaders and senior executives. This includes classic and contemporary views on the work of leaders as ‘architects’, ‘brokers’ and ‘shaman’, with a focus on result- driven and sustainable growth and on self-reflection of your own leadership. The focus is on practical action that is both integrative and prudent. The program covers:

  • Foundational approaches to the work of leading

  • Leading through formal structures, including hybrid organizations

  • Leading through networks and relationships

  • Leading through meaning and sense-making

  • Specialty topics from cutting-edge USILD research, for example: global mindset for leaders, ‘both/and’ thinking and action, social networks

for action, implementing on distributed innovation, governance and ambiguity, and managing risk.

Upon completion, you will be able to integrate leadership insights and a strategy mindset in the service of your own strategic leadership practices. Certificate (Level -IV)

Credential of Readiness Level-II

 

This is a level IV Executive Diploma [Credential of Readiness (II)] in organizational leadership that draws the threads of the previous programs together by exploring ways in which you can build resilience in yourself, your team, and throughout your organization. Sessions will unpack what it means to be a resilient leader and embed resilience in your organization. The program covers:

  • Creating high-quality connections

Level I

Certificate of Achievement

Boost your resume with a Certificate of Completion from the United States Institute of Leadership and Diplomacy

earned by completing this course.

Participants who have successfully completed  a course at the USILD are granted a Certificate of Completion. 

​

To earn a Certificate of Completion, you must complete all coursework in a thoughtful and timely manner, including meeting program requirements, finishing assignments, offering feedback on others’ reflections, and contributing to the class discussions. 

Level II

Certificate of Specialization

The Certification of Specialization is awarded to participant/student who holds the level-I certificate to prove your mastery of leadership and management skills. The certificate is earned upon demonstration that you have advanced your ability to identify and analyze key issues when making strategic decisions and equipped with skills to organize and lead strategy work. Earning a Certificate of Specialization can bolster your resume and signal to employers how committed you are to professional growth and lifelong learning. You must complete all courses prescribed in the level II within 18 months. USILD currently offers a Learning Track in Leadership and Management which includes Goals and strategies, Competitive advantage, Industry analysis, Strategy and change, Global strategy, Managing the multi-business enterprise, and New ways of engaging people in strategy processes.

Level III

Credential of Readiness Level-I

A Credential of Readiness (CORe), is granted to those who complete all three courses that comprise CORe—, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting—and pass a final exam.

​

The CORe final exam is a three-hour, multiple-choice, computer-based assessment created by USILD faculty and administered online. A passing score on all three courses is required to earn a Credential of Readiness, and grades are assigned on the following scale:

  • Pass with High Honors

  • Pass with Honors

  • Pass

  • Fail

Level IV

Credential of Readiness Level-II

Earning a Credential of readiness Level-II prove that participant has developed the personal, relational and analytical capabilities required to both embed resilience in your organization, and to lead as a resilient, strategic leader in the ‘Age of Uncertainty.
